Rough and Glossy Surfaces

Mary Macrae Chapman, LISW-CP

As a seasoned trauma-specialist I have worked with various & diverse populations, of all ages. I began my career supporting survivors of violent crimes, domestic violence, & other forms of abuse & neglect.

I have a colorful skill set ranging from school based issues to treating US Veterans as well as children as young as 6 suffering from PTSD. I also spent years at a psychiatric children's hospital stabilizing & supporting children & their families.

I love working with children & their caregivers, caregivers of children looking for support, teens, young adults, men, women, & folks all across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Seeing folks get better & start to love themselves more fully is so rewarding to see.

Because you deserve it.

When I'm not working you'll find me walking my 2 adorable pitbull rescues, creating colorful paintings, & dragging my husband on get-a-way vacations to explore new cultures and let loose!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston in 2014. I earned my Master of Social Work, clinical concentration, in 2017 from The University of South Carolina.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children as young as 5 to folks in their late 50's.
